The links page is down at the moment because all of the images automatically get changed into really annoying adverts.
But I've seen in the source code for every page, including the main page, there's now a ton of extra code that really shouldn't be there. It doesn't seem to be effecting anything on any page other than the links page but this doesn't make me feel any happier about it being there.
Now I know I don't know much about webcode and such but I can't even find anything wrong when I open it up in Notepad or Dreamweaver! I was hoping I'd be able to just go and delete it all but I'm guessing it's something a fair bit more complicated than that.
If anyone reading this has any knowledge on how to tackle this sort of problem I'd be eternally greatful if you could get in touch and advise me on this in anyway.
Thanks,
-Greg

Edit: I've also just noticed that the google ads on this forum also seem to be effected as they keep being changed into a single ad.
I'm starting to worry this might be connected with my computer being hit by a virus the other week. Could a virus on my computer infect the Dreamleak site AND then this forum?
And more importantly could it infect visitors to the site?

I've just gone to your links page - thats links.html, right? Nothing appears out of the oridnary - no adverts, just banners for other webcomics.
As for the javascript at the top of your html file, I've no idea what it is or whether it is even responsible for the effects you describe - if you didn't put it there manually then it was either inserted by your web-editing software, the webhoster for whatever reasons (like keenspace insert thier adverts etc) or by a virus on your webhoster or your own computer.
Could it be that this is only affecting your own computer? Have you found the same problem using other websites / comics / or by using a different computer?
Hope these ideas help you fix the problem.

See, this is I always keep a directory on my computer in which I store & edit the files which go onto the Web. Thus, if my site gets messed up somehow, I can just FTP a fresh copy from my local directory. Since I don't know how you have things set up, I can't really give you any advice.

The link page looks fine to me too right now, just banners for webcomics. I looked up the javascript function names in the sourcecode and I think they're just from Dreamweaver, put there to run the animated mouseover effects on the links. The forum ads seem to be Google on some pages, single banner pictures on others, but it's my first time here so I don't know what's normal. It could be some adware on your personal computer rather than on the site itself. I'd try scanning your computer with an antivirus program and an antispyware program. The CastleCops site has some lists of free and online scanner programs here.

Thanks for the advice everyone, especially YOU TimTylor! That CastleCops site was very handy.
It was just my computer playing up with some sort of virtumondo thing, whatever that is.
Anyway, props y'all.
PRIME!
